Put your watch on after applying perfume, cologne, lotions, or hairspray — chemicals can damage the case finish and degrade gaskets. Remove your watch before strenuous activities, sports, or manual labor to prevent impacts and excessive vibration that affect the movement.

Water resistance is not permanent. Gaskets deteriorate over time and should be tested annually by an authorized service center. Never operate the crown or pushers underwater. After saltwater exposure, rinse with fresh water and dry thoroughly with a soft cloth. Avoid hot tubs and saunas — extreme temperature changes can compromise seals.

For automatic (self-winding) watches: if unworn for more than 48 hours, manually wind the crown 20–30 turns to restart the movement. A watch winder is recommended for watches with complex complications such as perpetual calendars or moon phases to avoid lengthy resetting procedures.

For quartz watches: if the watch will not be worn for an extended period, have the battery removed by a professional to prevent leakage and corrosion. Replace batteries promptly when the seconds hand begins jumping in 4-second intervals (EOL indicator).

Sapphire crystal is extremely scratch-resistant (Mohs hardness 9) but not shatter-proof. Avoid sharp impacts against hard surfaces. Mineral crystal can be polished to remove light scratches. Clean the crystal with a microfiber cloth — avoid paper towels or abrasive materials.

Mechanical watches should be serviced every 4–6 years by an authorized watchmaker. This includes disassembly, ultrasonic cleaning of all components, re-oiling the movement, replacing worn gaskets, water resistance testing, and precision regulation. Always use authorized service centers to maintain your warranty and ensure genuine replacement parts.
